Challenge: a great shot of Orion with a horse! And I succeeded last night. Orion is so dominate in the winter sky and I wanted to capture it for this blog. This shot was taken in front of a pond and I like the way the night sky is reflected in the water. This is the violet color to the horse's left in the photo.
About 25 degrees F last night. I stayed warm with my new UnderArmor tights and used my new flashlight to bounce light from the ground (Christmas presents that come in very handy for chilly night photography.).
And Pepe stayed with me for this photo, while all our other horses ran away. Pepe's buckskin color really works well and is more visible for night shots. Thanks to Pepe!
