Clear Sky in Black and White

Not many clear nights these days. Finally got lucky last Thursday. Here is my horse, Fancy, bottom right. I tried a 30 second exposure trying to get a day time look, as a popular article on Yahoo.com this week featured photos of night shots that looked like day time. I needed a longer exposure to do that and presently don't have a cable release for my Canon 7D.
The horse was motionless for 30 seconds; she must have been sleeping. Black and white seemed a better fit for this image, as a security light in the foreground gives the color image an unusual hue. Black and white is a different look and one I like.
